Knee Pain

Knee PainjonSeptember 8, 2020January 12, 2021

Whether it is acute or persistent knee pain, we can provide a solution for you.

We treat a mix of sports injuries, trauma, osteoarthritis and post-operative rehabilitation. As always, we perform an assessment specifically guided by the history and mechanism of your injury. We then make and explain our diagnosis. Whatever your goal – return to sport, return to work, return to normal activities – we can work together to formulate a treatment plan for your knee injury.

The knee joint absorbs some of the biggest loads on the body and is an integral pivot point in athletic movements. Having the strength to support and maintain the correct alignment of the knee is not just about the quadriceps (thigh) muscles. At The Milton Physiotherapist we look at the kinetic chain and ensure that we don’t overlook any discrepancies in other regions of the body.

Probably the most ‘functional’ movement we most often make in everyday life is to squat. It is also the most poorly performed movement we see. It is possible to almost instantly relieve knee pain by adjusting your squat technique. Getting it right might mean the difference to achieve your sporting potential or returning your arthritic knee to managing your hobbies.
